This design of the proposed trail system--referred to as Wetlands Preserve Park Educational and Interpretive Trail ("Wetlands Preserve Park")--will have a public engagement process that reflects the priorities articulated by the community during the Canal District Master Plan process. This included providing enhanced green space, increased connectivity, walkability and access to amenities like lowimpact access to the preserved wetlands and ponds through an interpretive trail system with coastal, environmental and historical information and recreational opportunities to residents of and visitors to this historically-underserved locale.
