City of Ellensburg Electrical Utility On Call Construction Services Bid Call #: 2021-16. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Ellensburg. This work includes, but is not limited to, the excavation and installation of duct and vault systems, installation and termination of URD cable, setting and removal of utility poles, installing overhead conductor and associated distribution equipment, installing pole and pad mounted transformers, installing and terminating secondary electrical services, and performing substation maintenance. Work will be completed on an On Call basis by means of a City issued work requests, work requests will be in multiple locations throughout the City of Ellensburg. The City of Ellensburg, Washington, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or in the bidding. Responsibility and competency of bidders and their subcontractors will be considered in making the award. The Contractor must be qualified as stated in Division III Section 3.26 in order to be eligible to bid on this project. The City of Ellensburg in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all submitters that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit qualifications in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex in considerations for an award. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the hour set for the opening thereof or before the award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty days.
