As of January 20, 2022, project was put on hold and will rebid at a later date. No new bid date has been established yet. This will constitute proof of insurance, disassembly, shipping, repairs & inspections, and reassembly & balancing. A separate RFP will be posted for millwright removal and return to building. Proposals shall include a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit. The form of Non-Collusion Affidavit is on the Reading Area Water Authority website at C-480 Noncollusion Affidavit (readingareawater.com) and can be downloaded. The successful proposer, before award of the contract, shall be required to post with Reading Area Water Authority the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) to secure the performance of the contract, which amount shall be returned after successful completion of the contract. Reading Area Water Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The repair work will involve the disassembly our Sharples Type PR 290-6 483791 Dewatering centrifuge, for successful millwright bidder to remove from building and load onto transport designated by successful repair bidder. The scope shall include any remaining disassembly at the successful repair bidder’s shop and: Freight charges, shop rate costs, replace large tiles, front/rear pillow block, tension/conveyor bearing & shaft, pulley seal holder, rear end conveyor, gearbox, return of centrifuge for successful millwright bidder to return to building, reassembly of all parts, and dynamic balancing of conveyor and bowl. Includes all normal replacement of bearings, seals, et. al., and verification of dimensions Physical drawings of the centrifuge and building are available on site for review by any potential bidder.
