**As of January 17, 2022, the project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Pursuant to the provisions of Texas Government Code Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, as amended, it is the intention of the Valere Public Schools, Inc. (the District) to select via the one-step Request for Proposal process a Construction Manager-at-Risk for the construction of the project described herein. Persons or entities submitting proposals are referred to herein as Offeror(s). Proposals are to include the information requested in Section II of this Request for Proposals in the sequence and format prescribed. In addition to and separate from the requested information, Offerors submitting proposals may provide supplementary materials further describing their capabilities and experience. Offerors shall submit one (1) original and four (4) copies of the Proposal. Following the deadline for receipt, the Districts staff will receive, publicly open, and read aloud the names of the Offerors and all fees and prices stated in the proposals. Within thirty (30) days following the date of the opening, District staff will evaluate and rank each proposal submitted in relation to the selection criteria set forth herein. The District may also request additional information from Offerors at any time prior to final ranking of Offerors. The District may select all, some or none of the Offerors for interviews. Interviews with Offerors, if any, will not be scored separately from the proposal, but may result in an adjustment in score. A recommendation will be made to the Board of Trustees as to the ranking of the proposals Valere Elementary/ Secondary School - A 27,000 SF existing pre-engineered building with drywall interior walls, structural steel columns and roof structure. Foundation is slab on grade. This facility with remodeling work which includes removal of various interior non-load bearing walls. Adding metal stud walls, painting existing walls, replacing existing 2x4 SAC and LED lighting. Replacing all restroom fixtures and partitions. Replacing drinking fountains and sinks. Adding new restrooms, secure lobby, and reception counter. An 18,500 SF addition will be added to existing building providing classrooms, new restrooms, gymnasium, cafeteria, kitchen and support rooms. This new facility will be a fire sprinkled, metal stud interior walls slab on grade with site paving work and new canopies. Schedule: Renovation construction expected to take 7 months (completion by August 2022). New Addition expected to take 14 months. Budget Renovation: 1,250,000.00 Budget New Construction: 5,640,000.00.
