Renovation of a mixed-use development in Reno, Nevada. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.

The is an emergency requirement to purchase and install a portable transformer as a backup power source. This is a sources sought for an emergency purchase and install of a mobile transformer, which will serve as a redundancy/backup capacity. The Prime firm shall have available inventory for immediate installation in accordance with the statement of work below. Interested parties are advised that in keeping with the Veterans First Contracting program under 38 U.S.C. 8127-8128, as implemented under VA Acquisition Regulation (VAAR) subpart 819.70 and VA Procurement Policy Memorandum 2016-05 - Implementation of the Veterans First Contracting Program, if the Contracting Officer has a reasonable expectation that two or more small business concerns owned and controlled by Service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) concerns will submit responses to the solicitation and that award can be made at a fair and reasonable price that offers the best value to the United States, the requirement will be set-aside for SDVOSB concerns. If an SDVOSB set-aside is not appropriate, the requirement will be evaluated to determine whether a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) set-aside is appropriate. The term SDVOSB / VOSB under the Veterans First Contracting program has the same meaning as defined in FAR subpart 2.101, except for acquisitions authorized by 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128 for the Veterans First Contracting Program SDVOSB and VOSB concerns must be listed as verified in the Vendor Information Pages (VIP) database at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov in addition to meeting the NAICS code small business size standard to be eligible for award under Veterans First Contracting Program set-asides. Provide professional construction services to deliver and place temporary 500kVA pad-mounted transformer (24.9kV to 208V) to address emergency situation at the VA Reno hospital facility. Primary and secondary cables are to be provided and installed. The work will include all equipment and labor to have a fully functioning system. The Contractor shall furnish all services, materials, testing, equipment, and supervision as required in connection with this Statement of Work. The general scope of this work is to include all material, labor and oversight in order to install a functioning complete system. Schedule. It is the intent of the Reno VA that this work be accomplished as soon as possible. Work hours to be scheduled with VA Reno. Facility interruptions shall not last longer the 8 hours. All outages affecting hospital operations must be accomplished after normal work hours (normal work hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or on a Saturday from 6am to 3pm. Proposal. The Contractor shall thoroughly review the scope. The proposal shall be prepared to reflect all work required to provide a complete system. The contractor's proposal will list the breakdown of all materials and labor and time required to complete the above-mentioned work. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
