Site work for a civil project in Mount Vernon, Washington. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of February 11, 2022, this project has been awarded to Tiger Construction Ltd. and the awarded amount is $1,752,602.60.** This Contract provides for the creation of off-channel habitat on the South Fork of the Skagit River near Conway, WA. This work includes, but is not limited to removing 81,570 cubic yards of material, constructing 2,200 lineal feet of new stream channel, construction of two ponds, installation of up to 75 pieces of large woody material, mulching of 5.5 acres of woody material to be spread on site, seeding, and other work in accordance with the Contract Plans, Contract Provisions, and the Washington State Department of Transportation 2021 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction. The time limit for physical completion of work is a total of one hundred twenty (120) WORKING DAYS. The Engineer's Estimate Range is $2,000,000 to $2,250,000. The pre-bid meeting must follow current recommendations for the prevention of COVID-19. Everyone involved with the pre-bid meeting is responsible for helping with safety. The following advice is based on current recommendations from , OSHA, and Washington State Department of Health: All technical questions and requests for interpretation shall be in writing and submitted no later than 4:00 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2022 to Emily Derenne by email to emilyjd@co.skagit.wa.us with the subject line reading, "South Fork Restoration Project". No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a surety company bid bond, or a certified or cashier's check payable to the order of Skagit County for a sum not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. A Contract Bond covering performance and payment will be required with the awarded contract. Washington State Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this contract and bidders are advised to consider this charge when tabulating bids.
