Roll-Up Gate Removal and Replacement, Oakland Contractor agrees to provide all labor, tools, materials, supplies, parts, transportation, and equipment necessary to California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) to remove and legally dispose of the existing 37 feet x 14 feet roll up gate and install a new 37 feet x 14 feet aluminum powder coated curtain assembly gate, including bottom bar with safety edge at the Caltrans District 4 Office, located at 111 Grand Avenue, Oakland, CA 94612. As required by Executive Order S-02-06, the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is committed to meeting the State's 25 percent (25%) Small Business (SB) participation goal. Certified SBs, Micro Businesses (MB), SBs for the purpose of Public Works (SB-PW), and contractors willing to commit to subcontracting a minimum of twenty-five percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified SBs, MBs (if applicable), or SB-PWs, are encouraged to submit bids Written Question Submittal 1/6/22 Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by January 6, 2022. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to Robert.Carothers@dot.ca.gov. Payment Bond (ADM-2009) Requirement: If the successful bidder's bid exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder shall furnish a Payment Bond for not less than 100 percent (100%) of the total amount payable by the terms of this Agreement. This Agreement will commence on February 4, 2022 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on February 3, 2023 (estimate). Caltrans reserves the right to reject all bids for reasonable cause.
