Renovation of a communication facility in Clark, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a communication facility.
As of March 24, 2022, project was awarded to Colorado Energy Systems, awarded amount is $33,315.16. The purpose of this Request For Proposal (RFP) and accompanying specifications are to provide instructions and assistance in submitting an offer to provide removal of existing generator and replace with a new model year 2022 generator to include removal of current generator, transportation of new to the site and installation as detailed in the SOW for Routt County. All questions must be received, in writing, prior to 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time January 28, 2022 and shall be directed only to Routt County Purchasing Agent Julie Kennedy at jkennedy@co.routt.co.us. Answers to questions received that would change and/or clarify this solicitation will be provided in writing, via an addendum to all firms that have received the original RFP after the date for questions has expired. In this way, we hope to eliminate multiple addendums. Routt County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) reserves the right to reject any or all proposal responses and to waive informalities and minor irregularities in proposal responses received, and to accept any portion of the proposal response that is deemed to be in the best interest of Routt County. Recommend Award to BCC February 22, 2022 Fully Executed Contract March 1, 2022 Project Completion October 1, 2022 General Description of Work Required Remove and transport existing generator and sub-base fuel tank to specified storage location within Routt County. The generator is located inside the communications shelter, and will be very difficult to remove. Removal through the roof is not an option, so it will need to be removed through an entrance door. This may require removal of the door frame. Once the existing generator and fuel tank are removed the new generator can be installed and connected. Currently the generator is connected directly to the main breaker panel without use of a transfer switch. The solar array replacement will include the addition of a power inverter. It will be the responsibility of the contractor replacing the generator to make the necessary connections from the generator to the inverter. (See detail of work) The generator will be connected to the Cummins Power Command Cloud. All necessary parts, including Power Command gateway, should be included in the RFP responses. The existing exhaust system can be reused with modifications. Please consult with RCC Emergency Equipment Technician for exhaust design. All RFP's will need to include exhaust design details. Site Description The Farwell Mountain communications site is a Public Safety Radio Tower site managed and maintained by Routt County Communications (RCC) on USFS property. The communications site is comprised of a tower, shelter, solar array, and backup generator. The generator is a 2006 Kohler 25 kW diesel model 20REOZJB. The generator is mounted on top of a double wall subbase 100-gallon fuel tank with a 100-gallon fabricated aluminum "day tank" beside it. RCC is seeking a qualified licensed contractor to replace the generator and sub-base tank. RCC is specifying the Cummins C25D6 25 kW diesel generator with sub-base fuel tank as the replacement. The secondary "day tank" will remain in place
