Renovation of an educational facility in Newton, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

**As of February 17, 2022, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Each Bid must be accompanied by a security in the form of a Bid Bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and an acceptable surety company registered to do business in the State of New Jersey, a cashiers check or certified check made payable to the Kittatinny Regional School District in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00. The bid securities will be returned within ten (10) calendar days after the Bid Opening, Sundays and holidays excepted, to all but the three (3) apparent lowest responsible and responsive bidders. All other bid securities will be retained until the Successful Bidder has executed the Agreement and furnished the required contract security, whereupon the balance of the bid securities will be returned. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof. The Kittatinny Regional School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive informality in the bidding if it is in the interest of the School District to do so. The contract(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder(s). Pursuant to The Public Works Contractor Registration Act, bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and to possess a current certificate by said department indicating compliance with the Act. Bidders are notified of this requirement and of their mandatory compliance. If, at any time prior to the bid opening, the certificate from the Department has not yet been received by the bidder, proof of application along with the cancelled check for the application fee shall be provided to the School District in lieu of such certificate. Once the certificate is received, a copy of same shall be delivered forthwith to the Kittatinny Regional School District. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a Bid, the Bidder and/or subcontractors shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction in the following disciplines: C008 - C009 General Construction/Alterations and Additions with C066 Roofing -Membrane EPDM. If the successful Bidder fails to execute and deliver the Agreement and furnish the required contract security within ten (10) calendar days of Notice of Award, the School District may vacate the Notice of Award. The bid security of that Bidder will be forfeited to the Kittatinny Regional School District as liquidated damages for such failure. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds covering 100% of the work. The surety providing bid security and performance and payment bonds shall have a minimum policyholder rating of "A" as listed in Best's Insurance Guide and be licensed to conduct business in the State of New Jersey. The School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in the whole or in part, or to make award to such bidder who, in judgment of the School District makes the most advantageous bid and to waive such information as may be permitted by Law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of Public Laws of 1975, Chapter 127, Affirmative Action Requirements.
