The Town of Garysburg invites Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from well qualified and North Carolina licensed engineering firms interested in providing professional engineering design, contract book (PS&E), as well as construction observation and administration services for a Stormwater Improvement project. The anticipated scope of work may include: watershed analysis, existing conditions evaluation (video investigations and smoke testing), surveying, and designing stormwater improvements at multiple locations. These improvements are intended to be designed, bid, and constructed in 2022. Letter of interest clearly stating project team and corporate principals; o Project Approach and Draft Schedule; a Detail of relevant experience and background shall include the following information: key personnel and project roles; firm experience with similar projects including PS&E; stormwater system construction administration; familiarity with the Town of Garysburg, Northampton County, the region, or other similar municipalities; familiarity with water quality regulations, principles, and standards; applicable NCDOT/FHWA standards; watershed and stormwater management best practices; all required water quality, environmental, and other applicable permitting processes; and minimum ofthree (3) recent project references. o Hourly rate schedule of all anticipated project participants. Please submit three (3) hard copies of the Statement of Qualifications and one electronic (PDF) format OR submit electronically (PDF) format. Responses to this RFQ must be clearly labeled, Garysburg Stormwater Design Project. The selection committee will score the received Statement of Qualifications and may conduct virtual/in-person interviews. The Town reserves the right to negotiate a scope of services and price proposal with the best qualified firm(s). If a scope and fee agreement cannot be reached, the Town may negotiate with the next most qualified firm. The advertising of this RFQ does not assure award and the Town reserves the right to cancel or readvertise the project. The Town reserves the right to modify responses, in whole or in part, and otherwise reserves the right to waive irregularities or cancel the RFQ entirely. Responses become the property of the Town of Garysburg and will not be returned. For the duration of the contract, the selected firm(s) must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with limits of not less than $1,000,000, Professional Liability Insurance (Errors and Omissions) with limits of not less than $1,000,000, Automobile Liability insurance with a minimum limit of $1,000,000, and Workers Compensation Insurance as required by the State of North Carolina.
