The scope of the project is to create an exterior main entry plaza for Pine Technical and Community College. The goal is to create a new inviting, welcoming, and engaging main entrance experience aligned with the College Up North and Feel of Nature themes providing a more personalized, inclusive, and safe space for students, staff, and visitors to socialize and co-mingle, as well as encouraging informal outdoor learning opportunities. To accomplish this, parking spaces (and asphalt) will be removed and replaced with lawn and social spaces. Students and staff will no longer have to travel through the parking lot to get to the main entries. Instead, pedestrians and cars will be separated. New parking including accessible stalls will be located at the periphery of the main entry plaza and be connected through accessible sidewalks to the main entry doors. To accomplish this, the site will be re-graded. Lighting will be provided to illuminate the paths and social areas. A new main entry sign will replace the existing sign that is in keeping with the theme. The main entry signage will be contracted separately by the Owner. The main entry sign scope in this project includes footing, foundations, boulders, and electrical (including conduit and wiring) to connect to Owner provided signage. Electrical Installation/Construction, Landscaping The earliest Construction Start Date shall be May 16, 2022 or upon full execution of contract. Substantial Completion shall be August 12, 2022 Final Completion: no more than 1 week after substantial completion
