The purpose of this proposal is to establish a competitive contract for the purchase of electrical materials and supplies on an "as needed" basis throughout the year for Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD). All vendors supplying prices shall be established vendors whose primary business includes electrical material sales. The parts listed are 10% the district's warehoused dry cell batteries, electric motors, electrical parts, emergency lights, and lighting fixtures. ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $250,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually. TERM: This RFP will be firm for two (2) years from date of award, with the option to be renewed for three (3) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree. Plano ISD has the option to extend this proposal at the end of the performance period for up to 120 days if determined to be in the best interest of the district to ensure availability of products and/or services.
