All contractors and/or subcontractors whose bid exceeds Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) shall be licensed under R.S. 37:2151-2163 of Louisiana Law. The St. Mary Parish School Board reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in, or to reject any/or all bids. The work of the base bid involves the removal and replacement of the existing HVAC systems on approximately half of the 1 st floor at Morgan City High School. Areas include one (1) Classroom Wing and the Gym. Work will include the removal and replacement of lay in ceilings required for installation of new ductwork, piping, controls, etc. and associated Electrical work to accommodate new systems. Contractor shall remove existing systems and ceilings and dispose of according to national and local codes. The construction site will be available for demolition to begin on May 30, 2022 and shall be completed by July 29, 2022. Alternate #1 shall include the replacement of the existing natural gas generator in the boiler room. The construction site will be available for demolition upon receipt of Notice to Proceed and shall be completed as indicated in Instruction to Bidders. Alternate #2 shall include the replacement of the lighting and ceiling tile/grid in the BandRoom, Chorus Room, and the adjacent Corridor. The construction site will be available for demolition to begin on May 30, 2022 and shall be completed by July 29, 2022. Alternate #3 shall include the replacement of the lighting in Gym with new LED fixtures.
