The City of Sacramento, Public Works Department, Recycling and Solid Waste Division, is seeking slope mowing and weed abatement services in three areas as shown in the attached exhibits. All the areas are closed landfills. The contractor shall mow and weed abate these areas down to ~2-4 inches and may leave the cut grass and weeds in place. The three areas are as follows: Area 1: the slope between the southern edge of the 28th Street Landfill and Business 80. This sloped area has surface mounted pipe, landfill gas equipment and other obstacles. As such, this area cannot be mowed by a slope mower or machine. It must be done manually. Area 2: the Caltrans border. Area 3: the slopes around the two detention basins on the Dellar Landfill. Bid Valid 90 days from date of bid closing. Liquidated Damages None Start/Delivery Date Spring 2022 Project Duration Three years with the option to extend for up to two additional one-year terms. This includes the Sacramento City Landfill and Dellar Landfill. Services are to be performed once per year in the Spring. Contractor must contact City staff no later than May 1st of every year to schedule work. Slope mowing and weed abatement must occur in Areas 1 and 2 prior to Memorial Day weekend of every year. In Area 3, work must be completed prior to June 15th of every year. Contractor must ensure all work is completed by these dates.
