Site work for a power facility in Kansas City, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a power facility.

This Request for Proposal (RFP) is to construct and supply two freestanding protection and control (P&C) panels, all according to the attached specifications and relevant project drawings. Alternate Proposals with value engineering options (e.g. for improved cost, lead time, size/weight, etc.) may be submitted only if accompanied by a Base Proposal that conforms to the specifications herein. Purchaser will provide schematics and front views for P&C panels after award; the Seller shall develop wiring diagrams (keeping panels as uniform as possible). All drawings shall use Purchaser's AutoCAD templates and drafting standards. Proposals will only be considered from qualified contractors who have previously demonstrated their ability to comply with the technical specifications through prior work. Qualified contractors are those who have the financial resources necessary to complete the work and whose proposals are fully responsive to the Request for Proposals. The following are minimum requirements for responsive proposals. Only proposers who meet these requirements will be considered. The responses to this Request for Proposals will be made using the BPU's standard forms provided through DemandStar. These forms can be reformatted as desired but all information required on each form must be clearly shown. Proposers may supplement these forms with their own written proposals. Proposers must submit one electronic copy of their proposal by time and date specified as the proposal deadline date in DemandStar. How to Ask Questions: Proposers may request additional information in writing about the project by emailing purchasing@bpu.com by the date specified in SC.2. All questions must be directed to the Department of Purchasing and Supply Chain. Answers to all questions will be compiled and distributed through DemandStar as an addendum. No Proposer shall discuss details of this Request for Proposals with BPU personnel outside of the Purchasing Department except in the context of an interview with the Selection Committee. The successful Proposer shall enter into a contract with the BPU and furnish the required insurance certificates and performance and statutory bonds satisfactory to the BPU in amounts equal to the full amount of the contract price guaranteeing the faithful performance of the contract and holding the State of Kansas harmless from all claims. Thereafter, all obligations of unselected Proposers shall cease and all checks or surety bonds will be returned. The BPU is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
