Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Kingsport, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of upgrades and/or replacement of three (3) wastewater pumping stations. Pump Station No. 108 - Oak Glen 1. Install two (2) new submersible solids handling pumps and motors. 2. Install new valve vault with piping, valves, and other appurtenances. 3. Install new force main to connect to existing force main. 4. Install new yard piping and valves as shown. 5. Install new yard hydrant, RPZ assembly, hot box, and piping. 6. Install new 3-phase electrical service pole and electrical equipment rack with the necessary components, new conduits, power, and control wiring. 7. Install new pump control panel. 8. Install new canopy to protect electrical equipment. 9. Complete all proposed site improvements, perform site cleanup and final grading, seeding, concrete placement, gravel and rip-rap placement and seeding and landscaping. 10. Install site fencing and gates. 11. Perform all other work for the above to provide a complete, functional system. Pump Station No. 307 - Cooks Valley 1. Install two (2) new solids handling pumps and motors. 2. Install new integral fiberglass wet well/valve vault complete with access hatch, pumps, piping, valves, bypass pump connection, and other appurtenances. 2. Install new force main to connect to existing force main. 3. Install new gravity piping and manholes. 4. Install new yard piping and valves as shown. 5. Install new yard hydrant, RPZ assembly, hot box and piping. 6. Install new 3-phase electrical service pole and electrical equipment rack with the necessary components, new conduits, power, and control wiring. 7. Install new pump control panel. 8. Install new canopy to protect electrical equipment. 9. Install all site improvements, perform site cleanup and final grading, concrete placement, gravel placement, seeding, and landscaping. 10. Install site fencing and gates. 11. Perform all other work for the above to provide a complete, functional system. Pump Station No. 308 - Lakeside 1. Install two (2) new solids handling pumps and motors. 2. Install new integral fiberglass wet well/valve vault complete with access hatch, pumps, piping, valves, bypass pump connection, and other appurtenances. 3. Install new force main to connect to existing force main. 4. Install new gravity piping. 5. Install new yard piping and valves as shown. 6. Install new yard hydrant, RPZ assembly, hot box and piping. 7. Install new 3-phase electrical service pole and electrical equipment rack withthe necessary components, new conduits, power, and control wiring. 8. Install new pump control panel. 9. Install new canopy to protect electrical equipment. 10. Install all site improvements, perform site cleanup and final grading, concrete placement, paving, gravel placement, seeding, and landscaping. 11. Install site fencing and gates. 12. Perform all other work for the above to provide a complete, functional system. A bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total of the bid is required. Certified checks should be made payable to City Treasurer, City of Kingsport. The successful bidder will be required to execute acceptable Performance and Payment Bonds in an amount equal to one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. All bidders must be licensed Contractors as required by the Contractors Licensing Act of 1994 (TCA Title 62, Chapter 6). No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid provides the following information: the Contractor's license number, the date of the license's expiration, and a quotation of that part of his classification applying to the bid; the Geothermal, HVAC, Masonry, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical subcontractor's license number, each date of the license expiration and that part of each classification applying to the bid if the value of work is $25,000 or greater; ($100,000.00 or greater for Masonry) if value of the subcontractor's work is less than $25,000, ($100,000.00 for Masonry), the bid envelope is to be indicated with the phrase "Subcontractor's bid is less than $25,000" ($100,000.00 for Masonry) after each appropriate heading. If no Subcontractor's are being used, the outside of the envelope must state, "No Subcontractors are being used on this project". By submission of a signed bid, the bidder certifies total compliance with Title VI and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, and all regulations promulgated thereunder. No submitted bids may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids The City by its governing regulations reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids received, to award bids for any combination of the three stations, to waive any informalities in bidding and to re-advertise substantially complete the project within 180 consecutive calendar days; final payment within 210 days thereafter
