MGED is seeking sealed bids for the provision of natural gas pipe fabrication and installation services. These services are required to modify an existing meter assembly which services a large industrial customer as further detailed in the specifications. Estimated Cost $157,000.00 The services requested in this Request for Proposal are for construction, install, and commissioning/tie-in support of new piping and equipment at the meter site as shown in the attached Issued for Bid Package. IFC Package will be provided upon project award. The Contractor shall be responsible for the construction and construction management of the installation of the fabricated assemblies. The Contractor shall perform all work indicated on the referenced drawings, within this scope of work, and in accordance with identified specifications. Supply of Materials and Equipment MGED shall furnish the mechanical bill of material defined in the project drawing set (pipe, valves, fittings, bolts, nuts and gaskets). Stainless tubing materials are the responsibility of the Contractor (see Piping section). Contractor shall be responsible for verifying that delivered equipment complies with the provided materialspecifications and isin the appropriate quantities. All materials purchased by MGED will be delivered and stored at 2 Vine St, Middleborough, MA 02346. Contractor is responsible for transporting materials from this location to their fabrication site and ultimately to the project site for final installation. Contractor shall be responsible for providing concrete, structural steel, consumables, and all other materials required to inspect, pressure test, and tie-in the newly fabricated assemblies including but not limited to; pressure testing blinds, small valves for testing, sufficient gaskets for assembly and disassembly, hoses, testing equipment, welding rod and supplies, paint, blasting media, mil gauges, tapping equipment, consumables, PPE, concrete, reinforcement, structural steel, any fuel required and all other construction-related material. Civil Pipe and steel supports specified in the project drawing set will require excavations to facilitate installation of concrete-filled sonotube foundations. Due to the presence of existing utilities in the area of installation, contractor shall use hydrovac methods for excavation and submit onecall ticket(s)
