The Underground Utilities & Public Infrastructure Department (UUPI) is requesting written qualification packets from engineering consulting firms to provide services for the implementation of a Pavement Management System (PMS). The City of Tallahassee, FL (population 186,000) has defined a need for an updated PMS to enable effective management of the City's street infrastructure. The City is responsible for 677 centerline miles (1325 lane-miles) of pavement comprised of mostly asphalt-surfaced streets. The City has maintenance responsibilities for only City owned streets; therefore, State and County owned streets are not included in this project. The selected consultant will conduct a review and analysis of current business practices, assess the existing condition of selected roadways within the public right-of-way, recommend a pavement management software solution, provide training on the PMS to City staff, and conduct a multi-year analysis to guide decisions made in developing a program master plan. Professional Engineering (PE) License is required for this project.
