Renovation of a water / sewer project in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
For the Construction of the DAF Pump Replacements at South Shore Water Reclamation Facility, Contract No. S06038C20 located in the City of Oak Creek, Wisconsin For information concerning the proposed work, contact Nathan Churchill, Owners Procurement Specialist, at nchurchill@mmsd.com. The project contemplated consists of: the replacement of six (6) Dissolved Oxygen Floatation (DAF) pumps within the Sludge Thickening Building (Building 358) at the South Shore Water Reclamation Facility (SSWRF). The bid consists of the following work in general: o Remove and dispose of six (6) existing pump motors and pumps, o Remove and dispose of 8-inch flex connectors for six (6) pump assemblies, o Replace, grout, and paint (6) baseplates o Furnish and install six (6) spit case centrifugal pumps on baseplates and install new flex connectors, o Connect, align and balance the new motors, new pumps, and new connectors, o Connect the existing seal flush water supply to the six (6) new pumps for seal lubrication. Procure all necessary piping and pipe fittings to connect the seal flush water. o Complete 7-day test run for each of the six (6) new pumps, o Complete all other work described in the specifications and as necessary to complete the project.
