Renovation of an educational facility in Ogden, Utah. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This Construction Management/General Contractor (CM/GC) project includes a major renovation of the David O. McKay Education Building replacing everything except the concrete foundations, columns, and floors. The building's mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems will be replaced as will the entire building envelope, including the roof. Interior spaces will be reorganized, and exterior playgrounds, plazas, and landscaping will be renovated. Outside the building-related project boundary, a new section of underground utility tunnel will be constructed to better connect present and future campus-scale utilities. With few pieces of the early 1970s building remaining, the new building will leverage contemporary design standards, high-performance materials, and effective construction methods creating a truly outstanding project that will function at least as well as other newly-constructed projects on the Weber State University campus. Commodity Code Description 99901 DFCM Division Facilities and Construction and Managment 72120 Nonresidential building construction services including commercial and office building new construction services and construction services and renovation and repair services 80100 Management advisory services and consulting including project management and industrial management and construction management and quality assurance The Fixed Contract Price Limit, as defined in the CM/GC Agreement, $28,000,000.00 The Contractor for the project must be a Utah licensed General Contractor. Association with other individuals or firms having appropriate professional expertise is acceptable. The State will enter into a single agreement with the successful Contractor. A bid bond in the amount of 5% of the Fixed Contract Price Limit, made payable to the Division of Facilities Construction and Management on an AIA Document A310 - 2010 Bid Bond form, or equivalent, shall accompany the Contractor's Cost Proposal. The Division of Facilities Construction and Management reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the State.
