Renovation of a fire / police facility in Montclair, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

A certified check or cashiers check made payable to the order of the Township of Montclair, or a duly executed Bid Bond, in the amount of ten percent of the Bid price, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 must be deposited by the Bidder together with a Surety Consent evidencing that They can obtain the required Performance Bond. All applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement and award of building contracts or sub agreements must be written by a surety company listed on the Federal Treasury List (Department Circular 570 Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal bonds), incorporated herein by reference. All bidders must submit their DUNS number (Data Universal Numbering System) and their SAM CAGE Code Number (System for Awards Management Commercial and Government Entity). This project is subject to both Davis Bacon wage rate requirements and New Jersey Prevailing wage rate requirements. The contractor shall utilize the higher of the two rates in each and every category of work on the project. The successful bidder shall be required to comply with the provisions of the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25 et seq Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, effective January 1, 1964 and the Public Works Contractor Registration Act (NJSA 34:11-56.48). The Township of Montclair reserves the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt and reserved the right to waive any informalities, to accept a bid which is deemed most favorable to the interest of the Township, to make an award on each item separately or as a whole, and to accept any bid or to reject any or all of them in accordance with the specifications and current New jersey state and federal regulations. Vendors are required to comply, where applicable, with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., New Jersey Statutes Title 19 Fair and Open Process, and all other federal, NJ State and local applicable laws. Due to current conditions, and to protect the safety of everyone, vendors are encouraged to submit their sealed bid proposals via certified mail or overnight delivery. Deadline for all request for clarifications, RFIs and questions will be February 14, 2022 at 3:00 pm prevailing time. All RFIs, questions and clarifications must be in writing. Send all RFIs, questions and clarifications by email to: purchasing@montclairnjusa.org. Proper responses to questions will be sent to all plan holders in accordance with current regulations. The Township is requesting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to provide the goods and services in accordance with the specifications or Township approved equivalent.
