The proposal shall be quoted on a per ton basis with the quoted price including the total costs for all manpower and equipment needed. Proposers wishing to meet on site with St. Croix County Highway Department personnel prior to submitting a proposal should contact Greg Haig, County Highway Engineer at 715-760-1912. The proposal shall be for crushing and stockpiling Limerock at the Highway Department's Spooner Pit location, rural Woodville, WI, for a total estimated 60,000 tons of material as follows: Approximately 40,000 tons of dense 3/4 " base type, approximately 12,000 tons of dense 1 1/4 " base type material and 5,000 tons of Select Crushed Materials/rejected fines. In addition to this, the Department has approximately 3,500 tons of blacktop at the location that should be included in the total of material to be crushed and stockpiled. Crushing is to begin on a date agreed upon by both parties with all crushing to be completed prior to June 1, 2022. Please provide a tentative start date. Also, please refer to the enclosed location map and aerial shot rock location map. All Limerock shall meet current Wisconsin Department of Transportation specifications for dense 3/4" basetype material and dense 1 1/4" base-type material. The proposal shall include daily testing of all the material produced by the contractor to ensure that proper and uniform gradation is maintained throughout the operation with daily sieve tests for 3/4" base-type material and 1 1/4" base-type material. Test should include percentage of fracture. All test results shall be supplied to the County in a timely manner. In addition, the County will have access at all times to the sampling of the material for its own testing and the contractor shall coordinate their test results with the County's test results.
