Background: The Maryland State Department of Education develops and implements standards and policy for education programs from pre-kindergarten through high school and for Maryland's Juvenile Services Education and vocational rehabilitation services. It is our goal to ensure that all students have access to a world class educational system that prepares them to graduate ready for postsecondary learning, rewarding work, and success in life. Nature of Work: The Schneider Electric Service Module Power Revitalization Service (MPRS) provides a comprehensive on-site UPS refresh service for Symmetra LX solutions. MPRS includes: (1) replacement and upgrade of aging critical UPS components; (2) Schneider Electric CPCS certified Schneider Electric service professional on-site to perform all work; (3) system configuration and functional verification; (4) removal and transport of the used components to an approved recycling and disposal center; and (5) a one-year Single Phase Advantage Plan Requirements: 1. Schedule certified Schneider Electric technicians to perform the work. 2. Perform all of the Modular Power Revitalization Service activities listed to include nonregular business hours for MSDE. 3. Present required site forms to MSDE. 4. Provide MSDE with recommendations regarding any action items not included. Place of Work: Work will be completed at the Maryland State Department of Education, Nancy S. Grasmick Building, 200 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. Normal business hours for MSDE are Monday through Fridays from 9 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Award Basis: The State reserves the right to award the contract to the responsive and responsible bidder submitting the most favorable bid price for providing the goods and services, as specified in this RFQ. Refer to COMAR 21.05.07.06 D. Questions Questions should be addressed to the Procurement Officer. Time permitting, answers to all substantive questions that have not previously been answered, and are not clearly specific only to the requestor, will be posted online as an Addendum after the due date of questions and in sufficient time for the answer to be taken into consideration in the Bid. The due date for questions will be January 7, 2022 by 5 P.M. Submission: The Bidder mustsubmit the signed bid form Exhibit A to provide the service detailed in the Nature of Work. The submission must be received by the submission time and due date. Submissions must be submitted via e-mail to the Procurement Officer. Faxed or hand delivered bids will not be accepted. If you have not done business with MSDE or the State of Maryland, or a significant amount of time has elapsed, please submit an updated W-9 with your bid. Bids will not be opened publicly.
