Renovation of a transportation facility in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
Project No. 21-048, 210285 Bid Security: Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit, or a cashier's check, or certified check drawn on some bank or trust company insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, inclusive of all alternates that would increase the amount of the bid, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond in such amount executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds, conditioned that the surety will upon demand forthwith make payment to the Owner upon such bond if the bidder fails to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. No proposal may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 90 days. It is the policy of the Owner that Minority Businesses shall have the opportunity to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part by the Owner in order to maximize opportunities for Minority Businesses in the Owner's projects. The Piedmont Triad Airport Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to reject all bids and re-advertise, or to reject all bids without further action, whatever the Authority deems to be in its best interest.
