Research Building Phase 4 consists of an approximate 40,400 sf fit out of multidisciplinary research laboratory that will be the cornerstone of the University's push to become a Top 20 national research facility. This facility is based on the latest improvements in research laboratory design standards. The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company will execute all trade contracts. The date for project substantial completion as further defined in Article 28 of the General Conditions shall be 3/31/2022 and shall have final completion thirty (30) days thereafter in accordance with the project schedule contained in the project manual All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instruction to Bidders, General Conditions and Special Conditions.
