Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Pikeville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

This project has been determined to be AML mine eligible. During the recent heavy rain event a significant amount of rock has slid against the house with the potential of more to come. The proposed project will created a 15 foot flat wide area behind the house and the highwall will be constructed at a 1'H:1'V slope. This project site is located on Route 292 approximately 5.3 miles past the City of South Williamson. Heading north on US 119 turn left onto Route 292 at South Williamson. Go 5.3 miles and turn left into the first driveway after passing the Muncy Wrecked Car lot. Silt control is setup to prevent sediment from leave the project limits. The material will be excavated and hauled to a waste site. Positive drainage will be established behind the house. A subdrain will be constructed behind the house. Revegetation is including for revegetating the residential areas as directed. Roadway stone and bituminous repair is setup to provide for repair in kind to non-state maintained roadways. No trees, 3" in diameter or greater (breast height) will be disturbed between April 1st and October 31st, except for in the slide and transition zone. Any permits deemed necessary will be obtained prior to reclamation activities Service Start : 12/1/2021 Service End : 5/30/2022
