Editorial Content Team is actively seeking updated information INTRODUCTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) anticipates soliciting proposals and subsequently awarding a single, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for the Construct New IT Building Minor Construction project at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (VAMC) located at 510 E Stoner Ave, Shreveport, LA 71101. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Overton Brooks VAMC has a requirement to construct a new modern energy efficient multiplestory IT building to improve IT services and infrastructure on the main campus grounds. The total area to be constructed is approximately 16,056 square feet. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the work for construction including, but not limited to: o Regrade existing areas in the designated construction area o Reroute drainage lines as affected o General construction activities (framing, drywall, MEP, cement pouring, roofing, window installation, exterior veneers, etc.) o Install modular wall panels in finished working areas o Install specialized IT equipment needed for a main server room and telecom rooms o Install a comprehensive security system o Install a paved service drive to the constructed building o Install new emergency generator o Install new air handlers o Pull new data lines/cables o Reroute existing data lines/cables as appropriate o Abide by special security requirements pertaining to IT equipment and projects ADMINISTRATIVE: The solicitation will be issued as a Request for Fee Proposal (RFP) conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15 and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures listed in the solicitation. The solicitation will be advertised as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Set-Aside. Offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $39.5 million. The solicitation will be issued mid-late April 2022. The period of performance is approximately 540 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The Magnitude of Construction is expected to be between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00.
