The purpose of this IFB is to enter into a contract with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder to provide services to reinstall the solar module array, option 1: Using the existing OR option 2: New Solar modules, racking, conductors, conduit.This contract will result in one contract award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for either option 1 or option 2. UDOT will review the budget and the pros and cons relating to cost of both options and determine what is the best use of funds. The project shall be completed no later than Friday, April 29, 2022. All questions must be submitted through the online bidding system during the Question and Answer period. UDOT anticipates awarding the project by Monday, January 31, 2022. 1. Contractor agrees to provide to California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) minor repairs, remodeling, and restoration services as described herein: Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, tools, parts, incidentals, travel, and equipment necessary to provide minor repairs, remodeling, and restoration services. 2. Public Works services shall be performed at Caltrans District 08 Metro Region Office and Maintenance Building, located at 451 West Slover Avenue, Bloomington, CA 92316, within San Bernardino County. Caltrans Contract Manager will contact Contractor via email when the Public Works required under this Agreement are required at the specific locations listed in this Agreement. 3. Any reference to Caltrans Contract Manager shall also include his/her designee. 4. This Agreement will commence on February 15, 2022 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement shall expire on February 14, 2023 (estimate). The services shall be provided during the working hours of 7:00 a.m. through 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except State holidays. The parties may amend this Agreement as permitted by law.
