The City of Hollywood, Florida (City) is seeking responses from qualified and experienced firms, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor or Proposer, to provide fabrication and installation of architectural fence for the City, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this solicitation Q & A deadline: May 23, 2022 3:00:00 PM MDT The project budget is $496,000. This budget is all inclusive of construction and owner soft costs. The ArtsPark at Young Circle is located in a 10-acre circle at US 1 and Hollywood Boulevard in
downtown Hollywood. Dedicated in March 2007, the ArtsPark offers a wide array of visual and
performing arts themed educational, recreational, and entertainment activities.
The ArtsPark Amphitheater features a 60' x 40' main stage and lawn seating for 2,500 guests.
This concert venue is available for rent and includes complete lighting, sound equipment,
loading docks, dressing rooms and more. The City of Hollywood, Design and Construction Management Department is soliciting
proposals from qualified & licensed fence subcontractors to provide an artistic fence to secure
the amphitheater main stage, lawn seating and central sidewalk area adjacent to the fountain
where food vendors park during ticketed events. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluation,
design, permitting, fabrication, installation, and maintenance services as outlined in this
solicitation and all associated attachments/exhibits. The artistic fence panels and structure must
be installed adjacent to but independently of the existing concrete sidewalk and seating. Project Details
Items to be included are:
o Fabrication of approximately 950 lineal feet of 4' W x 6'- 8' H waterjet 1/4 " fill
panels, including but not limited to 4" x 4" aluminum tube columns, 2" x 4" x
.125 (2 rail system), footers, channels, mid bracing, powder coated (color TBD),
doors, and vehicular gates.
o Access to existing electrical junction boxes and water spigots strategically
located on plaza.
o New east/west access points to accommodate vehicles ingress and egress
with swing gates.
o Nine new pedestrian, manually operated gates.
o Must include but not limited to structural calculations, shop drawings as
required for permit approval.
o Contractor shall evaluate the existing concrete structure (when and if proposed
posts and panels will be attached) to determine needs to meet regulatory
agency compliance requirements.
o City of Hollywood to confirm area locations for the two types of design (low &
high percentage of openness)
o City of Hollywood to confirm and approve design patterns via a sample
provided once contract is executed.
o Design services that include stamped and sealed drawings from Professional
Engineer as required for permit approval and as builts.
o Be able to provide annual maintenance for a three-year term.
o Inspections, adjustments, and maintenance as needed and as required
o Coordinate removal/ trimming of existing landscaping that will need to be cut
back 2-3' from the edge of concrete to create space for fence installation with
the City of Hollywood
o Coordinate relocation of existing irrigation lines and heads that may conflict
with the proposed fence layout. Removal and replacement by the City of
Hollywood.
