PURPOSE: The purpose and intent of this Quick Quote is to conduct a one-time solicitation to furnish and install two (2) 2.5 ton HVAC systems for use two residences within New River Trail State Park. SCOPE OF WORK: The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, supplies and supervision to remove and dispose of the old units, replace and render operational two (2) new, like in kind and type, HVAC units to be installed on the grounds of New River Trail State Park, located at within the Foster Falls area of the Park. All work associated with this project shall be completed within sixty (60) days from award. Work to be completed Monday-Friday beginning at 8:00AM and coordinated with the Assistant Park Manager. A. Product information shall be submitted with quote for evaluation. Failure to provide Product Information may eliminate your bid from evaluation. * B. The contractor shall install and render operational a new and unused two (2) 2.5 ton HVAC system, minimum 14 SEER heat pump. Unit to replace must be same tonnage as existing equipment. C. The contractor shall replace the existing heat pump, to include applicable refrigerant lines, adaptors to old duct work, equipment pad and install a new programmable digital thermostat. D. The contractor shall provide and install an indoor air handler adequate for the outside unit. E. Existing electrical connection may be used if it meets manufacturer recommendations. If not, electrical components must be replaced. F. Exterior units will require new foundation pads and shall be installed level. G. The contractor shall provide and install 10 KW electric heat kit(s) as necessary. H. The contractor shall remove the existing unit from the premises and dispose of it in accordance with all local and national standards. All refrigerant shall be handled in an environmentally responsible manner in accordance with the Clean Air Act. I. The Contractor shall perform a full-system start up and review of the installation with park staff, including an overview of the operation and maintenance of the new system, as well as installed accessories. J. The contractor shall provide unit and workmanship warranty information in the comments section of the Quick Quote. Unit must carry a minimum 5-year warranty on parts and 1-year warranty on labor. K. The contractor shall provide the business name, contact name, phone number, and address of an authorized service repair vendor that will honor all warranty work and repairs on the product they (the bidder) offer in a same day or minimum 24 hour response time (including weekends). You may be requested to provide subcontractor's names in the event that your company is more than an hour from the installation location.
