**As of February 22, 2022 this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award is not yet established. This project is an access for the pump station located at the south end of Lindsay Lane extension just east of the new Buc-ee's location in Athens, Alabama. A certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Athens in the amount of five (5) percent of the amount of the bid, but with a maximum of $10,000 must accompany the BID. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the Owner, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. Bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, and certify that they do not, and will not, maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in bidding. Attention is called to the Contractors Alabama License Law, Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Code of Alabama (1975) as amended. Contractor must be licensed as a General Contractor in the State of Alabama. The Owner is an Affirmative Action Equal Opportunity Employer.
