The work for which these proposals are to be submitted consists of providing labor, materials and equipment for maintenance of EXTERIOR LANDSCAPE AREAS in the Pelican Preserve Community ("Pelican Preserve EXTERIOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE") in the Gateway Services Community Development District ("District"), as directed by the District's Project Representative, a member of the District's Pelican Preserve Advisory Committee (PPAC). All work performed shall be in accordance with plans, specifications and Contract Documents pertaining thereto, - which may be examined at the office of the District 13240 Griffin Drive, Fort Myers, Florida, 33913 and with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, permits, development orders and governmental approvals. Bidders not attending the mandatory pre-bid meeting shall be disqualified from bidding on the Contract. The work for which these proposals are to be submitted consists of furnishing labor, supervision, equipment, supplies, tools, materials, and services to perform complete maintenance of the Pelican Preserve EXTERIOR LANDSCAPE AREAS, as described and defined in the Contract Documents. All work performed shall be in accordance with the Detailed Specifications described in the Bid Documents, which may be examined at the office of the District and with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, permits, development orders and governmental approvals. Maps of Pelican Preserve EXTERIOR LANDSCAPE AREAS (maintenance maps) are included in the Bid Package. In addition, system maps portraying the extent of the Exterior Landscape may be viewed at the District office. A certified or cashier's check on a national or state bank issued in the State of Florida or a bid bond in a sum of $2,500, made payable to GATEWAY SERVICES COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that the bidder will not withdraw from the competition after opening of bids and, in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will enter into contract and furnish the required certificates of insurance and other necessary assurances, failing which the bid deposit may be retained by the District for liquidated damages. Proposals shall be prepared, addressed and submitted in compliance with the detailed instructions as set for in the Contract Documents. The District reserves the right to determine Qualified Bidders and the right to reject any or all bids, with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, or to accept the bid which, it its judgment, best serves the District.
