Contractor Awarded Address: Moraga, CA 94556-2005 USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $915063 Punta Gorda Light Station Rehabilitation King Range National Conservation Area 140L1222R0002 The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Arcata Field Office (AFO) has a requirement to rehabilitate the lighthouse building located at the historic Punta Gorda Light Station (Humboldt County, California) in the Northern California King Range National Conservation Area, following Secretary of Interior Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties to ensure the following objectives are met: o Structural stability o Public safety o Prevention of further deterioration Key features of the Lighthouse project are: o Repair spalled concrete and/or corroded reinforcing at all surfaces. o Refinish all concrete surfaces to protect from the harsh marine environment. o Remove and replace cast iron spiral staircase and post. o Replicate existing building components in galvanized steel while maintaining the original historic aesthetic. o New galvanized staircase and post to be finished with protective coatings. o Remove and replace cast iron railing. o Replicate existing railing in cast iron while maintaining the original historic aesthetic. o New railing to be finished with protective coating. o Reinforce cast iron lantern structure attachment to concrete. o Restore and refinish cast iron lantern structure. Provide final coatings to protect structure from the harsh marine environment. o Demolish wood desk/countertop. o Restore and refinish interior wood trim and shelving while maintaining the original historic aesthetic. o Regrade surrounding site to ensure positive drainage. The site is in a remote location and vehicular access is limited. (No roads only trails) The period of performance for this requirement is 122 days beginning in Spring 2022 estimated on-site work to start around June 1st, 2022. The BLM will issue a Total Small Business Set-Aside competitive solicitation in January 2022. The BLM anticipates issuing a single firm fixed price award from this solicitation. Davis Bacon Act (DBA) is applicable and the appropriate DBA Wage Determination(s) will be included in the solicitation. The Magnitude is Between $1,000,000 and 5,000,000.
