The Firm shall be a native landscaping or natural areas maintenance Firm with at least four (4) years of documented experience in native plant management and shall be able to demonstrate their knowledge in the field. The prime Firm shall perform a minimum of 60% of the services related to this contract. Subcontractors shall be approved in writing in advance at the discretion of the City. The Firm shall provide maintenance at the locations listed in Exhibit E from March through November. Some services such as planting, pruning, and reestablishment may need to occur outside this window to accommodate optimum planting or dormant periods, etc. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to revise or remove services for specific locations and/or add or remove locations. Payments for services will be made for the actual amount of work completed. The Supervisor shall submit the following to the City representative monthly with pay requests:
Work Schedule - list when and what work is scheduled to be performed the following month (i.e. specific type of fertilizing, mowing, pruning, weed/insect control, materials, and chemical application in specific areas at each location.)
Work Completed Map - show work accomplished in specific areas at each location.
Stormwater Facility Inspection Reports - included in Exhibit E.
Chemical Application Reports - include location, target, chemical and quantity used. Questions are to be submitted through the E-bidding system. In order to ensure all potential respondents receive the same information, the City will post its response through the electronically. The Firm shall obtain and pay for any required permits, and licenses required by federal, state or city law to perform services under this solicitation/contract. The Firm shall secure and maintain during the entire term of the contract, insurance as detailed in the attached City-Contractor Agreement, paragraph 10. The City reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject any or all proposals, or portions thereof, to waive technicalities or deficiencies in any or all the proposals.
