Renovation of an educational facility in Oswego, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Project No: 671.032.001 Scope of Work: remove and replace the existing Air Handling Unit (AHU) located in Mechanical Room 003. The new AHU will provide both heating and cooling. Brach ductwork and diffusers will be removed in Classrooms 306 and 322. Install new Fan Coil Units (FCU) along with new ductwork, diffusers and piping in classrooms 306 and 322. In East Swetman Hall, remove 6 existing finned tube radiation and existing hot water piping serving the units. The finned tube will be replaced with new FCUs to provide both heating and cooling to the spaces. New hot water and chilled water piping will be installed to the 6 new units. All new units will have new electrical power provided. Each Proposal must be accompanied by the required amount of the bid security, which is 5% of the Total Bid, in the form of a bank draft or certified check, payable at sight to the University and drawn on a bank authorized to do business in the United States, or by a Bid Bond, on a form approved by the University, duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company or companies, approved by the University, authorized to do business in the State of New York as a surety. Attorneys-in-fact who execute a Bid Bond on behalf of a surety must affix thereto a certified and effectively dated copy of their power of attorney. A Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, both of which bonds shall be on the form prescribed by the University and in an amount not less than 100 percent of the total amount of the Contract awarded to the Contractor by the University said bonds must be issued by a surety company approved by the University and authorized to do business in the State of New York as a surety. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority and women-owned business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The Campus MWBE Goals are 18% Minority and 12% Women. The Campus SDVOB goals are 6%. Contractors should submit all questions no later than May 20, 2024. All questions are to be submitted in writing and can be e-mailed to Richard Merritt at richard.merritt@oswego.edu. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
