Renovation of a residential development in Winchester, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Remove and replace all dwelling entrance door locksets with new passage latchsets and deadbolt locks (modify existing doors and frames for new deadbolts). Remove and replace all mechanical room locksets with new latchsets and deadbolts (where they occur). Remove and replace all exterior dwelling unit storage room locksets with new latchsets and deadbolts (where they occur). Remove and replace the entrance door locksets with new passage latchsets and deadbolt locks on both maintenance buildings. All new deadbolts shall be keyed to master key system. Converting one existing unit to meet Section 504 accessibility standards. Work includes abatement of asbestos containing materials, partition framing, replacing interior and exterior doors, replacing flooring and trim, wall and ceiling finishes, plumbing fixtures, HVAC, and electrical equipment and fixtures. Modifying existing parking areas and walks to Units. Government Bonds at par value, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid.If the bid guarantee is not submitted with the bid, the PHA will reject the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds or furnish a 20 percent cash escrow or a 25 percent irrevocable letter of credit acceptable to the Housing Authority all in accordance with Clause No. 10, Assurance of Completion, of the Instructions to Bidders. The Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. A goal has been established of awarding at least 20 percent of the dollar value of the total contract amount to minority business enterprises
