Through this Request for Proposals (RFP), the City of Durham Department of Water Management (DWM) is soliciting a proposal from firms for sanitary sewer cleaning and inspection services throughout the City's collection system. The intent of this solicitation is to select a qualified contractor to provide cleaning and closed circuit television (CCTV) camera inspection and/or sonar inspection of approximately 220 miles of gravity sewer lines between 6" and 48" in diameter over five years. Cleaning of associated manholes will also be required. Contractor selection will be based on qualifications and price. The City anticipates that at the conclusion of the RFP process, it will name one successful contractor and negotiate a final contract based on the services detailed in the RFP. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to, sanitary sewer cleaning, flow control, CCTV sewer inspection, sonar sewer inspection, and manhole cleaning. The selected contractor will be responsible for working closely with City staff and its representatives to ensure proper system cleaning and inspection is performed.
