Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Washington Depot, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
*As of February 16, 2022, an apparent low bidder has been identified, however, a general contractor has not been awarded. Work under this item shall consist of designing, furnishing, installing, maintaining, removing and disposing of a temporary water handling system. This may include water-handling-cofferdams (temporary barriers), bypass pipes, bypass pumps/hoses, temporary energy dissipation, sumps, drainage channels, and equipment and work necessary for dewatering. A temporary water handling system redirects surface water beyond, through, or around the limits of construction to allow work to be done in the dry. The two (2) lowest bidders, as determined by the Town of Washington immediately after the bid opening, shall submit the Pre-award DBE Commitment Approval Request form(s) to the Town of Washington No Later Than Five (5) calendar days after the bid opening. This is a requirement of Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 26, Participation of DBEs. If the second low bidder does not submit the required DBE forms within the required time, they will not be eligible for contract award.
