**As of March 15, 2022, Bid rejected due to overbudget. The City of Fairhope is requesting responses to construct two identical ballpark bathrooms at two different park locations: 701 Volanta Avenue (Volanta Park) and 18795 Founders Drive (Founders Park) pending funding availability. The project entails site work, slab foundation work, slab on grade, structural and non-structural wood framing, mechanical (minimal), electrical (minimal), plumbing, metal roofing, wall sheathing, bathroom fixtures & partitions, paint, fit, finishes and similar building construction work tasks. Questions or comments pertaining to this bid must be presented in writing, sent as e-mail to the attention of the Purchasing Manager, Cory Pierce, 555 South Section St., Fairhope, AL 36532, e-mail: Purchasing@FairhopeAL.gov, by Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at 2:00 P.M. or will be forever waived. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security equal to 5% (percent) of the bid price, but in no event more than $10,000.00. Bid Security shall be in the form of a Bid Bond or a cashier's check payable to The City of Fairhope. No Bid Security is required on bids less than $10,000.00. The BIDDER to whom award is made shall provide a Performance Bond equal to 100% of the CONTRACT Amount and a Labor and Material Bond equal to 50% of the CONTRACT amount. Bids maybe withdrawn in written or telegraphic request received from BIDDER prior to the time fixed for opening. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the City Council of the City of Fairhope. The BIDDER agrees to construct one bathroom at Volanta Park and build an identical bathroom at Founders Park pending funding availability to current code standards and deliver a complete "turnkey" bathroom or bathrooms in 180 calendar days allowed for work no exceptions for holidays following a 15-day Notice to Proceed Period. The City reserves the right to accept or reject all bids or any portion thereof, and to waive informalities and to furnish any item of material or work to change the amount of the CONTRACT, whichever is in the best interest of the City of Fairhope. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
