Completed plans call for the construction of a 624-square-foot, one-story above grade bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for outdoor lighting for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Construction of two neighborhood parks, to include trails, sidewalks, parking lots, restroom structures, dog park structures, community garden structure, pedestrian bridge, utilities, site furnishings, and coordinating installation of baseball fields, tennis, pickleball, and multi-purpose courts, art installations, fitness equipment, and court and field lighting The Town of Cary is not responsible for a Bidder relying on incomplete bid documents. Contractors offering a proposal on this project must be licensed to do the specified type of contracting in the State of North Carolina. All bids must include a noncollusive affidavit. Contractors offering a proposal on this project must comply, and must ensure that their subcontractors comply, with the requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes, "Verification of Work Authorization," and must provide documentation or sign affidavits or any other documents requested by the Town of Cary demonstrating such compliance. The award of the Contract, if it is awarded, will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder whose qualifications indicate the award will be in the best interest of the Town of Cary (Owner). The Town of Cary reserves the right to waive technicalities and/or reject any or all proposals. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract documents shall be submitted in writing to Matt Wetherell Project Manager with Town of Cary 316 N. Academy Street, Cary, NC 27513 919-653-7112 matt.wetherell@townofcary.org Each proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope, upon blank forms provided in the Project Manual. These proposals shall be plainly marked: "Carpenter Fire Station Road Park & McCrimmon Parkway Park, Town of Cary Project No. PR1255 & PR1242, Bid No. 354-PR22-16." The envelope shall also be marked with the Bidder's name, address, North Carolina contractor license number, and name and phone number of a contact person. Replies will be issued by Addenda and posted to North Carolina Interactive Purchasing System (IPS). Questions received less than five business days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda, when issued, will be posted to North Carolina Interactive Purchasing System and on file at the offices of the Owner and Engineer at least twenty-four hours before bids are opened. It shall be the Bidder's responsibility to make inquiry as to the Addenda issued. All such Addenda shall become part of the Contract Documents and all Bidders shall be bound by such Addenda, whether or not received by the Bidders.
