Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The scope of the project is to provide new housekeeping pads and modifications to existing housekeeping pads. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) will be undertaking the conversion of heating and cooling systems at buildings in the Confederation Heights Campus. Heating and cooling system conversions are part of the User Building Conversion Plan (UBCP). UBCP is part of a larger PSPC initiative, the Energy Services Acquisition Program (ESAP), which aims to modernize the systems heating and cooling of federal and non-federal buildings in the National Capital Area. ESAP was developed in response to Budget 2016 which aims to accelerate federal infrastructure investment and reduce the carbon footprint of federal buildings. The scope of these Terms of Reference (ToR) is focused only on the UBCP at Tunney's Pasture, located in central Ottawa. The location is bounded on the north by Sir John A. Macdonald Parkway, on the east by Parkdale Avenue, on the west by Northwestern Avenue and on the south by Scott Street. PSPC is converting the Tunney's Pasture District Energy System (DES) from a High Temperature Hot Water (HTHW) distribution system to a Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) system.
