Construction Manager At Risk (CMAR) for the North Economy Parking Lot Expansion Phoenix -Mesa Gateway Airport has experienced unprecedented growth and requires additional parking capacity immediately to maintain the ability to meet customer demand. North Economy Parking Lot expansion plans were developed in 2012 provides for an additional 1263 and 1643 parking spaces in a base bid and add alternate bid scenario. The Airport intends to contract with a CMAR to construct what is referred to on the construction plans as base bid, 1263 +/- additional parking spaces. The existing plans will not be updated but will be used as the basis of what is expected to be completed. Approximately 600 available parking spaces are needed no later than June 27, 2022. Parking lot lighting and a shuttlebus pickup location will be required for the initial phase. The remainder of the project and all improvements will be required to be in-place and accepted no later than November 18, 2022. It is anticipated that the existing fence line will remain with swing gates added as the additional parking spaces will be considered overflow and not routine use.
