Project no -33150, 18063.21.WIL Project Category Code: Parks, Recreation, Athletic & Aquatic Facilities, Sidewalks/Curbs/Gutters, Utility Street Construction and Excavation, Electrical Installation/Construction, ADA Curb Ramps, Curbs, Landscaping, Stormwater Improvements, Paving (Asphalt or Concrete) Description: The work for which bids are asked includes the following: o Splashpad and associated construction o Installation of splashpad features o Concrete pad and footings o Electrical/Plumbing of the splash pad o Stormwater and site drainage for the splash pad o Other general items: park amenity installation, erosion control, traffic control, unclassified excavation and removals, landscaping, and turf/site restoration. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within the 72 hours of bid opening to MSA Professional Services, Inc., Attn: Raine Gardner, P.E., 1230 South Boulevard, Baraboo, WI 53913. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Pursuant to Section 66.0903, Wisconsin Statutes, the minimum wages to be paid on the project shall be in accordance with the wage rate scale established by local wage rates. OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Park Improvements to Webb Park 1. The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, certificates, and temporary protection necessary for or incidental to the construction of the splashpad improvements to Webb Park 2. The project includes, but is not limited to: a. Splash Pad - Installation of a splashpad and colored concrete pad by a certified installer for Vortex splashpad products. Installation of all splashpad utilities, connections, drainage lines, and other associated connections to ensure the splashpad is fully operational and functional at time of project completion is on the General Contractor to furnish and install. 1) Owner will procure the Vortex splashpad vertical features, manifold, drains, spray nozzles, and safeswaps(TM) per the designated purchase order with the manufacturer. (See Appendix for purchase order form from Vortex to ensure the Contractor understands what will be supplied by the City through their purchase order.) b. Construction and installation of: 1) 5-inch Concrete Sidewalk and amenity pads. 2) Reinforced concrete pad for the splashpad. 3) Site utilities: draintile, water main/service, and electrical. 4) Utility upgrades, connections, and installation. c. Other Items: Site Restoration, Playground surfacing modifications, Stone Block Seat Walls, Unclassified Excavation, Traffic Control, and Erosion Control. d. The project may include additive alternates. Alternates include the options of: additional concrete sidewalk and installation of owner supplied site furnishings
