Number: AC-NHPP-G-251-1(90)E The project involves upgrades to pedestrian facilities and signalized crossings of US 1 at four locations in Howard County - at Brewers Court, at Guilford Road, at Rowanberry Drive, and at Doctor Patel Drive. The work will consist of the following: US 1 at Brewers Ct: a) Construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and median refuge within the US 1 at Brewers Ct intersection; b) Installation of overhead and ground mounted Rectangular Rapid-Flashing Beacon (RRFB) signals and signage at the US 1 at Brewers Ct intersection; c) Milling of existing pavement and overlay along US 1 with signing, and pavement marking upgrades. US 1 at Guilford Rd: a) Construction of a shared-use path along southbound US 1 between existing sidewalk at the southwest corner of the z intersection and at the entrance to 8550 Washington Blvd, for a total length of approximately 1,300 feet; b) Construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps within the US 1 at Guilford Rd intersection and at driveway/entrance crossings along sidewalk length; c) Modifications to existing traffic signals, pedestrian push button upgrades, crosswalks at the US 1 at Guilford Rd intersection; d) Milling of existing pavement and overlay along US 1 with signing, and pavement marking upgrades; e) Offsite stormwater management (SWM) improvements. US 1 at Rowanberry Dr: a) Construction of sidewalk along northbound US 1 between South Hanover Road onto Old Washington Blvd to the driveway at 6387 Old Washington Rd, for a total length of approximately 1,700 feet; b) Construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps within the US 1 at Rowanberry Rd intersection and at driveway/entrance crossings along sidewalk length; c) Modifications to existing traffic signals, pedestrian push button upgrades, crosswalks at the US 1 at Rowanberry Dr intersection; d) Milling of existing pavement and overlay along US 1 with signing, and pavement marking upgrades; e) Drainage pipe installation along northbound US 1 and Old Washington Rd; f) Offsite SWM improvements. US 1 at Doctor Patel Dr: a) Construction of sidewalk along southbound US 1 between developer-built sidewalk north of Montgomery Rd and Doctor Patel Dr, and along northbound US 1 between the entrance for 6241 Old Washington Rd and Doctor Patel Dr, for a total length of approximately 700 feet; b) Construction of ADA compliant sidewalk ramps and median refuge within the US 1 at Doctor Patel Dr intersection and at driveway/entrance crossings along sidewalk length; c)Installation of overhead and ground mounted RRFB signals and signage at the US 1 at Doctor PatelDr intersection; d) Milling of existing pavement and overlay along US 1 with signing, and pavementmarking upgrades Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre Bid Conference will not be held for this project. Minimum wage rates for each Project, if applicable, have been pre-determined by law and are set forth in the Invitation for Bids (IFB). Bids must only be made upon the latest electronic proposal forms (and attachments) that are furnished by the Administration. In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.
