This introduction provides high level summary information on the project covered in this Request for Proposals ("RFP"). Interested parties must review the entire RFP document including all specifications, drawings, term and conditions for complete project information adequate for submitting a proposal. Remove existing clay tile roof and flashings at approximately 11,200 square feet. Install new 2-ply high temperature self-adhered underlayment with a minimum R-30 roof insulation and plywood as indicated in the Drawings. ROOF DRAINAGE: Remove and install new sheet metal gutters and drains at existing locations. DORMERS: Remove and install new copper cladding, louvers, and windows at dormers. LIGHTNING PROTECTION: Install new lightning protection system and provide UL or LPI Master Label Certificate. The budget range for the project is approximately $1,200,000.00 to $1,500,000.00 The objective of the University for this project is to complete the project on time and within the project budget in a safe and workmanlike manner with a minimumof disruption to the existing building occupants. Coordination and cooperation among contractors and sub-contractors will be a key to success. Work will also be occurring at the same time as other work by the University by other contracts or its own shop forces. Awarded Contractor shall be responsible for the coordination of work under this contract with work by Owner and other Contractors. The project schedule is to complete the project prior to 325 CALENDAR DAYS from issuance of Notice to Proceed. The awarded Contractor shall limit his use of the premises to the work indicated, so as to allow for Owner occupancy and use by the public. The facility will only be available during the scheduled construction time period from 8:00 A. M. to 5:00 P. M. (CST), Monday through Friday except official University holidays. Should the awarded Contractor wish to work during other times, including weekends or nights, Contractor must notify the Construction Inspector in writing, a minimum of twenty-four hours in advance so that the University Police Department may be notified. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
