The Port of Bellingham (Port) is requesting interested engineering firms with airport airside design experience to submit their qualifications for design and construction management services for a project to relocate and refresh existing gate markings for the eight commercial airline gates located at the Bellingham International Airport (BLI) commercial terminal. Presently, six of the eight existing gates can accommodate a Boeing 737-900ER (see attached gate layout drawings). The proposed project will include removing and replacing pavement markings as needed to accommodate a Boeing 737-900ER in all eight commercial gates. Work will include completing all required analysis to restripe the gates as needed to accommodate the specified aircraft while preserving all ground vehicle, pedestrian and aircraft travel paths, and maintaining compliance with all Federal Aviation Administration requirements. All apron striping not disturbed by the proposed revisions will be refreshed as part of this project. The selected firm will be required to develop a phasing plan to complete the work in an efficient manner while minimizing disruption to airport operations.
