Award amount is $196,448.12.** Project Description: The project scope includes milling and resurfacing of New Maple Avenue in Montville Township, repairs to and reconstructing drainage inlets, curb repairs, traffic striping and installing NJDOT compliant inlet hardware. Base bid includes 9,700 square yards of 2-inch mill and 1,350 tons of 9.5M64 surface course. This project is partially funded by an NJDOT Municipal Aid Grant. Therefore, all work is subject to the requirements in the State Aid Handbook, including, but not limited to, inspections by State representatives. Upon completion of paving, the asphalt will be tested in accordance with the current "HMA Coring, Testing and Analysis" procedures, performed by a third party contracted with the Township. Due to traffic volume and business operations active during the daytime hours, the Township wishes for resurfacing of the road to be completed during evening off-peak hours. The final schedule for milling and paving will be discussed and agreed upon during the pre-construction meeting. Side by side echelon paving is required. Bids or proposals shall be made on the forms provided and attached to the specifications which shall be submitted intact and otherwise must conform to the general instructions, specifications, terms and conditions. N.J.S.A. 40A:11-18 (American Goods and Products to be used were possible). N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 (Public Works Contractor Registration Act). P.L. 2004, Chapter 57, amending N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 (Business Registration Act). N.J.S.A. 19:44A-2013 (P.L. 2005,c271,s.3) New Jersey Election Law Enforcement Commission. Bid proposals must be placed in sealed opaque envelopes addressed to the Township of Montville, 195 Changebridge Road, Montville, New Jersey 07045 and marked clearly on the outside of the envelope "BID DOCUMENTS ENCLOSED, NEW MAPLE AVENUE RESURFACING PROJECT". The Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in the proposal received and to accept the bid which is in the best interests of the Township.
