Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The Public Improvement, upon which bids are requested, generally consists of milling existing pavement and overlaying with an asphalt interlayer and HMA, reconstruction of raised medians, pavement removal and reconstruction of curb and gutters, partial and full-depth pavement patching, replacement of traffic signal equipment, replacement of certain storm sewer structures and sewers and water valves and hydrants, sidewalk and sidewalk ramp reconstruction, and other various construction tasks located at 1st Avenue W from 6th Street to 1st Street. The Engineer's estimate of probable cost is $2,470,000. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter into such contracts as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 60 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened.
