Custom BT BP1 - DW Wilburn Inc - $1,759,000 BP2 - DW Wilburn Inc - $1,780,000 BP3 - DW Wilburn Inc - $3,530,000 The overall project scope consists of new artificial turf fields and tracks at Pulaski County High School and Southwestern High School. Each field will also include earthwork, subdrainage, and new athletic equipment. The overall project will be bid as packages for each school, and a combined bid package. The information included on the drawings and within the project manual specifications will be the same for all bid packages unless otherwise indicated. Sealed proposals for the following work will be received by the Pulaski County Board of Education in the manner and on the date hereinafter specified for the furnishing of all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, services, etc., necessary for the construction of the Pulaski County Athletic Field Improvements, for three bid packages listed below, as set forth in the specifications and as shown on the drawings prepared by RossTarrant Architects, Inc., 101 Old Lafayette Avenue, Lexington, Kentucky 40502. Bid Package No. 1: Pulaski County High School Football Field & Track Improvements Bid Package No. 2: Southwestern High School Football Field & Track Improvements Bid Package No. 3: Combined Bid Package - Pulaski County & Southwestern High Schools Special Note: It is the Owner's intent to award either two separate contracts for Bid Package Nos. 1 and 2, or to award one contract for Bid Package No. 3, which combines work at both high schools. No proposal shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of bid opening. Addenda: The last date for the Architect to receive items to be addressed in any addenda is January 25, 2022 by 12:00 p.m. EST. All requests must be submitted to the Architect in writing. Method of Receiving Bids: Bids will be received from contractors for a Total Lump Sum Amount for each Bid Package. All phases of the work shall be bid to and through the contractor submitting the proposal for each Bid Package. Bid Security in the amount of five (5) percent of each proposal submitted must accompany each Bid Package Proposal in accordance with the Form of Proposal. It is the Owner's intent to purchase significant quantities of materials through direct purchase orders. After review of bids, the Owner will issue purchase orders for major material items. Refer to the Supplemental Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, additional bidding documentation and Division 1 sections for additional information. Right to Reject and Waiver: The Owner reserves the right to accept any bid, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in bids received where such acceptance, rejection, or waiver is considered to be in the best interest of the Owner or to reject any bid where evidence or information submitted by the bidder does not satisfy the Owner that the bidder is qualified to carry out the details of the Contract Documents. The Owner's desire to waive irregularities and informalities as to a bid shall be reviewed and final judgement made by the Kentucky Department of Education, Division of Facilities Management, prior to approval of the contract and financing plan. Postage and handling fees shall be paid directly to Lynn Imaging. It is most important that requesting firm identify the position of the firm as to prime bidder, miscellaneous Contractor, material supplier, or other. Please give name, address, telephone number and email address of person responsible for receiving Addenda material and general communication concerning this bidding. Important Note: All Bid Packages will come together as one complete set of drawings and specifications. General Information: State Wage Rates are not applicable. Conflicts of interest, gratuities and kickbacks are defined in KRS 45A.445 and as provided for in KRS 45A.455 are absolutely prohibited. Preference for resident bidders shall be given as outlined in KRS 45A.90 to 45A.94. The successful bidder(s) must supply a 100% Performance and Payment Bond as outlined in the Project Manual. Project Location: Pulaski County High School, 511 East University Drive, Somerset, Kentucky 42503. Southwestern High School, 1765 WTLO Road, Somerset, Kentucky 42503.
