Site work for a water / sewer project in Greeley, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Replacement of two 6" VCP clay pipes that are over 70 years old that flow through an existing storm manhole in 8th Avenue. The project assumes a conceptual design to collect basic design information and existing utility information. Followed by a final design assuming flows would be diverted through private property to the north, requiring easement acquisition and new pipe required to divert flows to either 11th Street and 9th Ave or 11th Street and 8th Avenue. It is anticipated that an additional permanent flow monitor is going to be placed in this basin (work completed under flow monitoring budget) and that an additional 2 years of data will be collected for this basin. As January 05, 2023, this project is currently in the FY 2023 - 2027 CIP. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2025. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
